I was born and grew up in Cyprus. After completing my university education I met my husband and migrated to Australia.  I have  a PhD in Nutrition and Health and have worked for over 35 years in the food sector. I have held executive roles in Australia and spent many years living in Asia with Regional Management responsibilities for Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. I currently work as a consultant and I am the deputy chair of Kirribilli Community Centre Board. I have previously served on the board of the Gawler Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation providing support for people with cancer.

I am very passionate about social innovation and sustainability. While living and working in Asia I worked with disadvantaged communities to create innovative solutions and establish sustainable practices to successfully reduce malnutrition in these communities.

I have lived in the area for the past 7 years. I am very supportive of the Precinct system which is a great way of connecting residents with Council on matters that are important to us as residents.

We are very fortunate to be able to live in the Lower North Shore and I love the community feel and our village atmosphere. Each of our suburbs has a unique character which I believe we must strive to maintain. We have a number of infrastructure projects currently affecting our communities. I believe Council has a responsibility to work cooperatively with the State Government of the day to minimise the impact of major infrastructiure projects on the health and amenity of local residents.
